1. Who I am and how to contact me
I am Amy Battersby, trading as Amy B Biology Tutoring. If you have any questions about how I use your personal information, please contact me at amy@amyb.bio.

2. What information I collect
I may collect information that you provide when you contact me or enquire about tutoring, including your name, email address, telephone number and information about the student, such as their age, year group, subjects, examination board and tutoring requirements.

3. Why I collect your information
I collect and use your information to respond to enquiries, communicate with you, assess your tutoring requirements, arrange and provide tutoring services, and administer the tutoring relationship.

4. Lawful basis for processing your information
I process your personal information where this is necessary to respond to your enquiry, take steps at your request before entering into a tutoring agreement, or provide tutoring services. Where appropriate, I rely on my legitimate interests in running and administering my tutoring business, provided these interests do not override your data protection rights.

5. How I store and protect your information
Your personal information is stored securely on password-protected devices. I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.

6. Who I share your information with
I do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. I will only disclose information where this is necessary to provide the service, where I am legally required to do so, or where disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.

7. How long I keep your information
I will not keep your personal information for longer than is necessary. Information relating to enquiries that do not result in tutoring will normally be deleted when it is no longer reasonably required. Records relating to tutoring services may be retained for up to six years after the end of the tutoring relationship where necessary for accounting, tax or legal purposes. Information will be deleted sooner where there is no longer a legitimate reason to retain it.

8. Transfers outside the UK
I do not intentionally transfer your personal information outside the UK.

9. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have rights under data protection law to request access to the personal information I hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion of your information, ask for processing to be restricted, object to certain processing, and request the transfer of your information in certain circumstances.
You also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. Questions, concerns and complaints
If you have any questions about how I handle your personal information, or wish to exercise your data protection rights, please contact me at amy@amyb.bio.
